![]() That’s where the Ember Travel Mug² steps in, using a high-tech design and smart technology to keep your drink at the perfect temperature for the entirety of your commute. You probably have a travel mug to keep your morning coffee warm on those days you’re on the run, but travel mugs often lose heat quickly, and you end up with lukewarm or cold coffee. Keep reading for our full product review. I would not recommend it for that reason. We purchased the Ember Travel Mug² so our reviewer could put it to the test. It should be easy and reliable for this high price item. It is a frustration and a high class problem, but the price of the mug does not justify this type of glitch. After a time at rest, the app says it is not paired with the mug, and I always have to restart my phone (this is within 16 hours of last use), at which point, I have already had my coffee already cold, and not enjoying it because I am fussing instead of sitting quietly. I love the mug when it works, but too often, it takes too many steps to re-pair it and get it functioning. In summary, great concept, well made (I love my rose gold material and its bottom heavy with nice rubberized thick bottom cover), a bit pricey, and just wish it stayed hot longer. The mug I bought isn’t really big enough for a can of soup and putting a metal spoon in it is not recommended, but you can make do. It does all of those things, but not for very long. I bought this because I had surgery that has kept me fairly immobilized and I thought this might be helpful to make hot tea without boiling water and to keep coffee and soup hot. I love the mug because it works, but one drawback is that the charge does not last very long. So the app is not as problematic as it seems at first. The mug does not need repairing but it needs to be switched on before the phone recognizes it. I am updating my review after having the mug for several weeks. I love gadgets and love the idea of this mug but wish it worked more reliably with ease. These are high class problems but this mug is expensive. The added convenience of this product does not warrant its price battery charge goes down quickly, and the constant fussing with the app and trying to turn the mug off or on is annoying. The glitchiness of the app is so annoying that I would not buy this again. This is my second updated review after using this mug for awhile.
